Melanie and Marcos Point Reyes Engagement Session

April and Early May were filled with travels. Went to New Orleans for a week in April, and just about two weeks later went to Chicago for a week. Both were personal trips, but of course I brought the camera along to capture them (blog posts from trips coming soon!)… but, after coming back, I got right into work! My first shoot back was an engagement session in Point Reyes with Melanie and Marcos. What a great way to kick of May shoots!

It was a beautiful day for a drive on Sunday. I left earlier than necessary, to avoid traffic, but so I could also scout locations along the Point Reyes Coast. I stopped for a sandwich at a cute cheese shop in Petaluma, and then drove to the coast! Melanie and Marcos told me that they wanted to shoot at the Cypress Tree Tunnel at Point Reyes. I hadn’t been to that area before, but it was one of my first stops upon arriving to PR. It was gorgeous to say the least! From there, I drove to the Lighthouse (which was super crowded), South Beach, and North Beach. It was so fun to drive around and scout locations. I loved South Beach because it had a really nice sandy walk way that lead to the beach, which I knew would be great for photos!

I met with this adorable couple around 5:30pm. This was the first time we met in person, so we talked for a few minutes and then started shooting! It was so fun to walk between the rows of cypress trees and capture two cuties that were absolutely in love! After shooting here for a bit, we made our way to the beach for some oceanside photos! The breeze was strong and the air was salty, but the light was perfect for pics. We shot there and then made it back to the tree tunnel for a few more photos during sunset.

It turned out to be a lovely shoot of a lovely couple!! I love where my camera takes me and am so thankful for the couples that like to adventure for photos shoots.

Thanks for checking out this post and have a great weekend!
